Stereotactic body radiation therapy for metastatic urethral melanoma in a male patient

Malignant melanoma originating in the urethra is an uncommon occurrence, reported in under 200 cases till date.[1] Due to the rarity of disease, diagnosis is often delayed, compromising treatment initiation as well.
We discuss a case of primary urethral melanoma that was metastatic at presentation. Due to erroneous initial histopathological diagnosis as chondrosarcoma, appropriate therapy for melanoma was delayed.
